Founded in 2022 to help address a pervasive issue with which many architectural practices struggle - Building detail drawings. 

Throughout my career I've worked for a number of different practices. Each one was unique and varied as to their project type and architectural styles.  One common thread I that tied them all together, however, was the difficulty to keep up with building details for each project. 

Building details are essential components for every project.  They communicate design intent as well as address a number of practical issues.  Despite this, however, details can often be poorly drawn or reflect incorrect construction and outdated building science.  These factors, among other, can create a wide chasm of problems and issues that arise between the project's design and eventual construction.  

Building Enclosure Workshop is designed to help bridge that chasm by providing well drawn thoughtful building details for architects and designers.  The goal is to clearly and effectively communicate practical building solutions to contractors while maintaining a high degree of design integrity for architects and their clients.

Working together, we address and resolve practical building issues to give architects more time to focus on the big picture.  Additionally, we offer peace of mind that the quality of the drawings will provide contractors and their teams a clearer understanding of project constructability and more accurate pricing estimates.
